Employment opportunities after the end of school / career path:The 5-year study plan is characterized by:- An area of humanistic-scientific training common to other social-health vocational courses.
- A specific department area.
After getting the final diploma, students are allowed to access:1. to all university faculties (especially in
Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, dental hygiene and degree courses in Health Professions).
2. to the specialization course in "Laboratory Prosthetic Technologies" at the University of Chieti.
3. to the regional "Chair Assistant" (ASO) course and to start working in public and/or private laboratories. Following the conclusion of the course of study, students can take the qualifying exam to become dental technician, under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, which allows them to practice the profession of dental technician or as company owner.
The dental technician will possess specific knowledge and skills relating to the mouthparts (maxillary and mandibular conformation, masticatory joint - TMJ) and will be able to make all types of dental prostheses.
Moreover, the dental technician will also possess knowledge of legislation and business organization.
The graduate student will possess specific skills and manual ability that allow him to satisfy the requests coming from dental practices or public companies operating in the dental field.
